Welcome to the April 2025 issue!
Does it matter who makes your hi-fi? Of course it does, for so many reasons and in so many ways that we’ve created Company Confidential, a new feature series where we discover the achievements and goals of the many brands whose products grace our pages month after month.

Do they make all their own components or do they partner with other reputable brands to bring their kit to market? How did they get started in the first place and where do they see their business excelling in the future? Are they determined to specialise or are they branching out into new sectors they’ve not ventured into before? Is their aim high-end or affordable? And, most exciting of all, what do they have planned for release in the next 12 months or so?

We soft-launched Company Confidential in the last issue with a three-page deep dive into the workings of revered British company PMC. This month we visit Bowers & Wilkins, a manufacturer prolific in the production of classy headphones, speakers and soundbars. You can read all about it on p74.
