Bang & Olufsen unveils Sixties-influenced Beosound A5
Bang & Olufsen has launched a new Sixties-influenced portable speaker, the Beosound A5. Designed in collaboration with Danish-Italian design duo GamFratesi, it comes in two colourways – natural aluminium with a woven paper fibre front incorporating a light oak handle and a black anthracite aluminium version paired with a dark oak wood speaker cover and handle.
Boasting more than 12 hours of playtime and a wireless phone charger integrated into the top panel of the cabinet, B&O says the Beosound A5 is its most versatile and powerful speaker to date, controlled by either a user-interface or directly from the Bang & Olufsen App. It incorporates a four-way driver setup with four digital amplifiers providing a combined 280W of power via a 133mm bass driver, pair of 51mm midrange drivers and 19mm tweeter.
Beosound A5 is compatible with Beolink Multiroom, Airplay 2, Chromecast, Spotify Connect and Bluetooth 5.2.
The Nordic Weave version is priced at £900, the Dark Oak at £1,000.
Available to buy now, you can find out more about the Beosound A5 here.
