Focal has revealed a new addition to its line of headphones – the Lensys Professional, which features a closed-back design, combined with exclusive drivers.

The company explains: “Its robust design incorporates a blend of sturdy materials, including an aluminium yoke. The carrying case provided ensures the headphones are well protected, and comes with two cables, enhancing their portability and versatility.”

The Lensys Professional features a 40mm aluminium/magnesium electrodynamic driver with ‘M’-shaped dome, claimed to provide: “incredibly precise sound reproduction”. Aluminium is used to increase the dome’s rigidity and reduce distortion, while magnesium is employed for its excellent damping.

Focal reckons: “Thanks to this combination of materials, the driver delivers deep bass, accurate high frequencies and crystal-clear midrange. The drive unit components are angled within the earcups to enhance stereo imaging, while the acoustic load is optimised to deliver performance similar to that of a bass-reflex loudspeaker, for low-end extension.”

For extended comfort, the Lensys Professional has been designed to be lightweight, weighing just 306g, and features memory foam earpads and a headband covered with a breathable fabric.
