Welcome to the 2024 Yearbook!
If all has gone according to plan, this issue should be arriving in the shops or at your home on or around Christmas Eve, so it seems like a propitious occasion to say thanks to all of you who have been sharing the fun over the past year and, if you’ve just picked us up for the first time, welcome aboard.

This is our annual compendium of all the best stuff to pass through our pages over the last 12 months and covers the entire hi-fi range from headphones to streamers, DACs to amps, decks to carts.

This resume has been designed to serve as a handy guide to all the gear that we’ve recently tested that is guaranteed to sound ace on a sensible budget. We’ve done all the hard work for you, putting everything through its paces, but obviously personal taste and requirements come into play so we advise that you audition any prospective purchase at your local retailer before committing. Also, we should mention that prices quoted are from the initial launch and you’re advised to shop around for bargains.
