WiiM reveals details of Ultra and Amp Pro
The Amp Pro is an upgraded version of WiiM’s Amp (HFC 514) – launched in 2023. The company claims the high-performance components and advanced signal processing deliver a more immersive audio experience and users can integrate it with passive speakers, a TV or a record player for audio streaming. It features cosmetic updates to the buttons, status LED and volume LEDs, and redesigned internal circuits.
Updates include wi-fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 with two antennas, like its sibling. It boasts a claimed 60W per channel into 8ohm or 120W into 4ohm alongside a premium 32-bit/384kHz ES9038 Q2M SABRE DAC and TI TPA3255 Class D amplifier. It comes in an aluminium case and also features built-in room correction.
Users of both the Ultra and Amp Pro can control their streaming preferences from the WiiM Home App or – if they prefer to use voice control – WiiM is compatible with Siri, Alexa and Google. Both the Ultra and Amp Pro can also cast music from the user’s go-to music app using Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, Alexa Cast, DLNA, Spotify Connect and Tidal Connect. The app additionally allows access to an array of music services like Spotify, Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, Tidal, Pandora, iHeartRadio, TuneIn, SoundCloud and more.
The WiiM Ultra and WiiM Amp Pro will be available in Q3 with pricing to be announced soon. As always, Henley Audio Ltd. will be exclusively distributing WiiM in the UK and Republic of Ireland. You can find out more about the WiiM Ultra here.
