Pro-Ject introduces Debut PRO B turntable

Three years after releasing the commemorative Debut PRO (HFC 847) turntable, which was originally made to mark the company’s 30th anniversary, Pro-Ject Audio Systems is updating the deck with a new model. The Debut PRO B takes the design of its predecessor but adds new balanced technology for reduced noise and interference, when the turntable is partnered with one of the company’s balanced phono stages and cables.

The Debut PRO B’s features include a new pre-adjusted Pick-IT PRO Balanced moving-magnet cartridge – which normally retails at £200 – an 8.6in one-piece carbon-aluminium tonearm with fully adjustable VTA and azimuth, a nickel-plated aluminium tonearm bearing block and a non-magnetic aluminium platter with TPE damping.

There’s also motor suspension with improved damping, a precision belt-drive system, height-adjustable metal feet and an electronic speed change rocker switch – which supports 33, 45 and 78rpm playback.

The turntable comes in an eight-layer hand-painted MDF chassis in Satin Black or Satin White finishes while a premium semi-symmetrical Connect-IT E phono cable is bundled. Also part of the package are gold-plated RCA output connectors and a new MiniXLR balanced output and removable dust cover.

Available to buy now for £800, you can find out more about the Debut PRO B here.
