Audio-Technica unveils ATH-SQ1TW true wireless earphones
The ATH-SQ1TW incorporates 5.8mm drivers while the Low Latency mode is intended to ensure minimal delay and perfect sync. The design is also IPX4-equivalent splashproof and the in-ears automatically turn on when they’re removed from the case, ready for action, powering down when they’re once again returned for charging.
Touch controls built into the earbuds allow users to play or pause music, skip between tracks, answer calls and adjust the volume directly from the earphones, without having to touch their phone. A hear-through feature uses the built-in microphone to capture ambient sounds, ensuring users remain aware of their surroundings during use. The Sidetone function enables you to hear your own voice and environmental sounds through the microphone for natural call audio, just, says the company, “like a normal conversation”.
The ATH-SQ1TW also features Google Fast Pair, which means that, in one touch, you can pair with Android devices.
Fully charged they will give you up to 6.5 hours of use, with an additional 13 hours available from the charging case, for a total of 19.5 hours on the go. The company claims that charging for just 15 minutes (approx.) provides around 60 minutes of continuous playback.
