Welcome to the January issue
To DAC or not to DAC – believe it or not,that was once the question. Whether it was necessary to shell out for a gadget that claimed to enhance your digital transmission and introduce your system to a cleaner sound. Today, of course, there’s no argument that bolstering the conversion capacity of your kit so that you’re getting a better, brighter listening experience is the only course of action. The DAC is here to stay.

With that in mind, we’ve rounded up half a dozen of the latest, mid-price digital-to-analogue converters for our Group Test to help you decide which will work best for you. In addition, this issue’s Beginners’ Guide suggests a few other ways that you can enjoy your digital music to the richest effect.
