Shanling releases CR60 CD transport and ripper
Chinese company Shanling has unveiled its new CR60 CD transport and CD ripper, which it describes as a: “compact and simple device that will keep CD collections still relevant even with the rise of dedicated DACs and streamers”.
The CR60 offers coaxial and optical connections and features a USB Audio out for direct playback with a variety of USB DACs. It offers to rip lossless copies of discs via a hi-fi-grade Philips CD drive and Sanyo laser.
With Shanling’s Eddict Player app, users can rip CDs right onto Android smartphones or Shanling portable players – the app providing all the tags for a properly organised library.
It also offers CD ripping to computers and automatic ripping directly to USB drives. It measures 200 x 50 x 180mm, comes with a remote control and is USB-C powered, with the option of running it from a 12V DC input.
Available to buy now for $270 , you can find out more about the Shanling CR60 CD transport and ripper here.
