Bryston launches BR-20 preamplifier
PMC Distribution UK is introducing the Bryston BR-20 preamplifier/DAC, allowing connection of up to 14 analogue and digital sources combined with built-in hi-res streaming. Named in honour of Bryston president Brian Russell, who passed away in September, the BR-20 is claimed to deliver total harmonic distortion below 0.0006 percent, while the analogue signal path is fully balanced to achieve the lowest possible noise and superior common mode rejection.
The BR-20 is compatible with PCM files up to 24-bit/384kHz and up to DSD256 and can decode DSD over HDMI via an optional four-input plug-in HDMI card (£1,200). The optional card also enables connection to SACD players for the purest signal reproduction. Furthermore, users can connect 4K and HDR sources such as Apple TV and Blu-ray players, while passing the hi-res video through to a monitor or projector.
Priced at £7,500 and available to buy now, you can find out more about the BR-20 here.
