Eltax introduces Vintage PWR 1959
Eltax has launched a new vintage design three-way bass reflex, twin front ported floorstanding loudspeaker, the Vintage PWR 1959. Equipped with a newly designed 38cm diameter cellulose bass driver, a 16cm diameter cellulose midrange and two horn tweeters with 25mm diameter domes, the floorstanding walnut veneer cabinet benefits from multiple reinforced braces including a separate enclosure for the midrange drive unit.
The company says: “With high sensitivity and very large power handling, this new Eltax loudspeaker explores the lower frequencies with impact down to the lowest bass notes, supported by the accuracy of the midrange and effortless clarity of its treble, allowing the listener to experience the music with live concert-like audio reproduction expected of a large, true monitor speaker.”
The frequency response is quoted at 30Hz-22kHz +/-3dB, the sensitivity at 96dB/1W/1m, impedance at 5-8ohm and power handling at 250W (RMS).
The Vintage PWR 1959 weighs in at a fairly hefty 34kg, measures 518 x 900 x 385mm (WxHxD) and costs £900. You can find out more about it. about it here.
