A year on from the launch of its Ace passive loudspeaker range, Swiss company Piega has introduced a new range: Ace Wireless, a series of compact, fully integrated active loudspeakers with wireless sound for stereo and up to 7.1 channel setups.

The new Ace Wireless incorporates upgraded mid and bass MDS drivers, a revised version of Piega’s Air Motion Transformer (AMT) tweeter, digital amplification up to 200W per channel, streaming services and a sophisticated DSP system capable of handling up to 24-bit/192kHz music files. The system offers connectivity both wirelessly via WiSA or Bluetooth and wired via HDMI, optical or coaxial. It is DLNA certified and offers analogue connectivity for legacy audio products. Ace Wireless is Roon Ready and integrates Spotify Connect & HiFi and Google Chromecast. The built-in DSP system features switchable boundary gain compensation.

The series comprises the Ace 50 Wireless floorstanding speakers, Ace 30 Wireless bookshelf and the Ace Center Wireless for home cinema setups. All models are available in three colour finishes of sandblasted natural aluminium, anodised satin black or gloss white lacquer with colour coordinated, removable grilles. The Ace 50 and 30 Wireless models are available in TX (transmission) and RX (receiver) versions, a stereo pair being one of each unit.

The bookshelf Ace 30 Wireless is a compact two-way loudspeaker, featuring a 120mm MDS mid/bass driver and Air Motion Transformer ribbon tweeter. Powered by a 100W amplifier, it has a quoted frequency response of 35Hz-25kHz.

As different combinations of TX and RX models are required for different configurations, the speakers are available and priced individually as follows: Ace 30 Wireless – TX, £1,090 each (Aluminium)/£1,140 each (Black Anodised/White Gloss). RX, £900 each (Aluminium)/£950 each (Black Anodised/White Gloss).

The 105cm-tall Ace 50 Wireless floorstander is a three-way design featuring 4x 120mm MDS bass drivers, a single MDS midrange unit and an AMT ribbon tweeter. Powered by a 200W amplifier, it claims 30Hz-25kHz frequency response. Prices are as follows: Ace 50 Wireless – TX, £2,090 each (Aluminium)/£2,140 each (Black Anodised/White Gloss). RX, £1,900 each (Aluminium)/£1,950 each (Black Anodised/White Gloss).

Accessories are available for the range comprising stands for the Ace 30 at £160 each (Aluminium) and a ball-joint wall bracket for £100 each (Machined Aluminium).
