Rotel announces return of Michi series
Delivering a claimed 500W per channel (into 8ohm), the £5,400 dual monoblock Michi S5 stereo power amplifier utilises the aforementioned 2,200VA twin-matched toroidal transformers to deliver what Rotel describes as “exceptional bass energy” while maintaining “control and precision with the finest detail”.
Boasting the same Class AB design and toroidal transformers, the Michi M8 monoblock amplifier delivers a claimed 1,080W into 8ohm loads and like its sibling has five-way rhodium-plated binding posts. Completing the trio, the £3,300 Michi P5 preamp offers a selection of analogue and digital inputs including dual-balanced in and output XLRs, both MM and MC phono stage inputs and aptX Bluetooth. Its Dual AKM 32-bit DACs feed the Class A preamplifier stage and offer compatibility with MQA.
The Michi S5, Michi M8 and Michi P5 are available to buy now and you can find out more about the range here.
