Lumin P1 Mini streamer comes to the UK
Fed by a new internal toroidal power supply and governed by a Leedh Processing lossless digital volume control, the P1 Mini’s analogue output stage is similar to that of the P1, with a fully balanced layout featuring dual ES9028PRO SABRE DACs supported by dual Femto crystal oscillators and Lumin’s proprietary FPGA clock distribution system, which the company claims delivers clean audiophile signal quality to XLR balanced and RCA unbalanced outputs.
Supported file formats include DSF (DSD), DFF (DSD), DoP (DSD), FLAC, Apple Lossless (ALAC), WAV, AIFF MQA, MP3 and AAC, while streaming services include OpenHome, Roon Ready, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect, Qobuz, FLAC Lossless Radio, TuneIn Radio, Apple AirPlay 2, Plex, Gapless Playback, On-Device Playlist and Multi-Room (Songcast).
Control over playback and settings, input selection, per-input volume memory and custom input labels is available from the Lumin app or via a new Roon Ready handheld remote, precision-made in Austria from acrylic and zinc. The new infrared receiver built into the Lumin P1 Mini is compatible with universal remote controls, phones and automation systems. Lumin says this means that as a network player, hi-fi hub or two-channel AV system via HDMI ARC, the P1 Mini will deliver exceptional low-noise/hi-res audio purity. The Mini comes in a choice of Natural or Black Anodised Aluminium finishes.
Available to buy now for £4,195, you can find out more about the Lumin P1 Mini streamer/DAC/preamplifier here.
