Chord Electronics updates Poly
Kent-based Chord Electronics has announced a firmware update to its portable Mojo headphone amp/DAC’s high-resolution networking module. The new firmware has been crowned ‘Poly 2’ in recognition of the considerable update and is said to include improvements to its Bluetooth, DLNA and wi-fi capabilities. It also adds Roon Ready certification as well as integration with popular streaming services, including Tidal and Qobuz, and Internet Radio support assessed via popular third-party DLNA apps.
The free update also enables several usage improvements, including switching between Hotspot and Network modes; access to Hotspot password reset; Bluetooth PIN code reset and factory reset functions – all by holding the Config button for 20 seconds and listening to the voice prompts to make your selection. The Poly 2 (v2.0.0) firmware will be rolled out immediately with an over-the-air update and replaces all previous versions. For more info about Poly, click here.
