Audio-Technica's limited-edition ATH-M50xBT2MO
Descending from the ATH-M50 and ATH-M50x studio models, the ATH-M50xBT2MO features a number of enhancements designed to improve performance and usability including proprietary 45mm large-aperture drivers, a low-latency mode – which the company claims improves synchronicity between audio and video for streaming and gaming – an AK4331 advanced audio DAC and dedicated internal headphone amp, dual mics and beamforming technology for enhanced call quality. Meanwhile there’s a multi-point pairing function – which allows you to stay connected to two Bluetooth devices at once – buttons built into the earcup for control of volume/mute, music and calls, and access to voice assistant (Amazon Alexa Built-in, Google Assistant, Siri) plus Google Fast Pair – which lets users pair headphones with an Android smartphone or other device.
The ATH-M50xMO claims up to 50 hours of continuous use on a full charge and up to three hours from a 10-minute rapid charge (via USB-C), is compatible with LDAC and AAC codecs, uses professional-grade earpad and headband material and comes with a 1.2m cable for optional wired connection.
Available to buy now for £190, you can find out more about the ATH-M50xBT2MO on the Audio-Technica website here.
