Auralic to launch new streaming G Series

New streaming transport and DAC planned for October release, up-sampling processor and femto reference clock promised before end of the year

Auralic has unveiled details of its G Series of audio streaming components, comprising the Aries G2 streaming transport, Sirius G2 upsampling processor, Vega G2 streaming DAC and Leo G2 femto reference clock.

The £3,899 Aries G2 streaming transporter (above) wirelessly connects to your system and offers outputs including USB 2.0, AES/EBU, coaxial, Toslink and Auralic’s Lightning Link – a bi-directional HDMI enabling system control
of everything from volume to processor engine setup. The processor at its heart is 50 percent faster than the original Aires with twice the memory and data storage and it can handle resolutions up to 32-bit/384kHz PCM and DSD512.

Handling the same resolutions as the Aries G2, the £5,499 Vega G2 streaming DAC sports a quad-core A9 chip, 1GB DDR3 memory and 4GB of storage and claims to be as much as 25 times faster than its predecessor. Utilising new galvanic isolation that permits data transmission between primary circuits that are physically separated and ultra-clean power from dual low-noise linear purer-power units, Auralic claims that the analogue signal is as pure as it is loyal to the music.

The Sirius G2 upsampling processor and Leo G2 femto reference clock products are expected to arrive in the UK by the end of the year, while the Aries G2 and Vega G2 will be available in stores from October.
