AVM updates its CD receiver
Shown for the first time at the Festival of Sound, running from 27 to 30 September at the Novotel London West, AVM’s Inspiration CS 2.2 4T compact streaming CD receiver will be unveiled by UK distributor PMC. Based on the popular CS 2.2 reviewed in HFC 425, the CS 2.2 4T features several enhancements including Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity and the latest Wolfson digital-to-analogue converter to handle digital inputs including coaxial, optical and USB. Rated at 2x 165W into 4ohm and with support for wired and wireless connectivity, it’s additionally fitted with 3x analogue RCA inputs and a switchable MM and MC phono stage. FM RDS tuner, internet radio and Qobuz and Tidal streaming services are supported, with iOS and Android apps available for system control. It’s priced at £4,995 and is on sale now.
