Goldmund unveils Telos 4800 Mono Power Amplifier
Boasting a maximum power output of 1,050W RMS at 8ohm, an ultra-low total harmonic distortion of less than 0.005 percent across 20Hz to 20kHz and a dynamic range measured at 117dB with a 22kHz bandwidth, the Telos 4800: “can drive even very low impedance speakers without compromising distortion levels, adapting to any speaker configuration”.
The Telos 4800 features a claimed damping factor of 600 at 1kHz and output floor noise of less than 3μV. The gain is adjustable in 3dB increments, providing control and customisation to suit individual preferences and audio setups.
It comes equipped with Goldmund’s proprietary MKP silver-metallised polypropylene film cap capacitors and a fully massive copper ground plan, employed in a bid to ensure a stable supply for the Mosfet output stage.
Engineered with a fully analogue circuit, the amp claims maximum thermal security and short-circuit protection. In the event of an issue, it promptly shuts down to protect both the speakers and the amplifier itself. It’s equipped with both analogue and digital inputs, including RCA and XLR connectors, integrating with any high-end audio system. Additionally, the RS232 command connector and jack connector for trigger have been included to enhance the amplifier’s integration capabilities. It comes in both grey and black finishes, measures 420 x 826 x 500mm (WxHxD) and weighs 195kg.
