Klipsch introduces Reference Premiere speaker series
The range is available in two furniture-grade wood finishes – ebony and walnut – and the cabinets feature enhanced bracing, aluminium binding posts, cast aluminium feet and discrete Dolby Atmos connections that Klipsch says allows for: “easy and refined elevation speaker integration”. Signature Klipsch copper trim rings accentuate the tweeter and mid/bass driver, which can also be concealed by magnetic grilles.
The 11 new Klipsch Reference Premiere series comprises four floorstanding towers, a pair of bookshelf speakers and a trio of subs and two surrounds for home cinema use.
The flagship floorstander, the £3,000 Dolby Atmos RP-8060FA II has a 25mm LPS vented tweeter with Tractrix horn, dual 205mm bass drivers and a claimed sensitivity of 98dB into 8ohm loads. The RP-8000F II costs £1,700 and is essentially the same speaker but without the Dolby Atmos connections. The £1,450 RP-6000F II has smaller 165mm bass drivers and 96dB sensitivity and the RP-5000F II has 135mm bass drivers and 95dB sensitivity. It costs £1,250.
The brace of standmounts include the £730 RP-600M II and £600 RP-500M II. The former has the same 25mm tweeter as the floorstanders, partnered by a 165mm mid/bass driver for a claimed sensitivity of 94.5dB (8ohm), while the RP-500M II has a smaller 135mm mid/bass driver and 92dB sensitivity.
All cabinets come in a choice of two finishes: ebony and walnut.
