Rega unveils System One
The Planar 1 turntable is a plug-and-play design incorporating Rega’s handmade RB110 tonearm, with pre-set bias and factory-fitted Carbon cartridge. The company claims setup: “is possible in under 30 seconds”. It weighs 4.2kg and measures 447 x 117 x 360mm (WxHxD).
Tested back in HFC 475, the io integrated uses the same amplifier stage as the Brio (HFC 446) now re-designed to run at 30W per channel into 8ohm loads. The io features two line-level inputs, a high specification Rega moving-magnet phono stage and a high-quality headphone output. It weighs in at 2.9kg and measures 180 x 68 x 290mm.
The Kytes are bookshelf speakers that employ Rega’s ZRR high-frequency tweeter alongside a handmade pair of Rega MX125 mid/bass drivers. Weighing 3.7kg each, they measure 325 x 188 x 232mm.
Rega describes the System One as: “a handmade analogue audio system designed to bring you the true Rega signature sound at an affordable price… All three products have a perfect synergy, which promises to bring your vinyl collection to life”.
