Tivoli Audio unveils Model 2 Digital, SongBook MAX and SongBook
The Model 2 Digital works using AirPlay 2 and allows users to pick between playing music or podcasts through supported services including Spotify Connect, Q Play, Apple Music, Google Play, Tidal Connect, Deezer, Pandora and TuneIn. In addition, they can connect the Model Two Digital with other supported speakers using Google Home or Apple Home to listen to music in multiple rooms or play peer-to-peer through Bluetooth 5.
Retro-designed combining an aluminium grille and a rear-ported real wood cabinet in three colourways (White/Silver, Black/Black, Walnut/Gold), it houses a 20W amplifier powering an 89mm full-range driver and a single 19mm tweeter, with a multi-functional volume/source dial and LED strip status display. Additional wired audio devices are connected via a 3.5mm Aux input.
The Model 2 Digital measures: 252 x 123 x 158mm (WxHxD), weighs 2.2kg and is priced at £400.
The SongBook MAX portable music system features the latest Bluetooth 5.3 iteration and a choice of FM or DAB+ radio. It’s an analogue user experience complete with toggle switches, EQ sliders and tuning dials, retro-styled with a carry handle.
A 50W amp drives a multi-driver configuration of 102mm subwoofer, 102mm midrange driver and 19mm tweeter, which the company says: “delivers impressive audio scale and detail for entertaining at home or hosting outdoors”. The built-in lithium-ion battery is claimed to last up to 10 hours and the scan button can be used to store up to five favourite FM or DAB+ radio stations while the 6.35mm auxiliary input can be utilised to plug in a turntable, guitar, or keyboard. The Tivoli Songbook MAX is available in two grille/cabinet colourways of high-gloss Green or Cream/Brown.
It measures 381 x 280 x 152mm (WxHxD), weighs 5.2kg and costs £600.
The SongBook is a more compact Bluetooth-only portable sound system offering a similar classic retro styling to its MAX sibling, with comparable analogue controls and EQ sliders. Employing enhanced Bluetooth 5.3 bandwidth, speed and range is an audio system of 89mm full-range driver and 89mm bass driver, powered by a 40W amplifier. The built-in preamp is fed by a 6.35mm auxiliary input for external sound sources. The Tivoli Songbook is available in a choice of two grille/cabinet colourways of high-gloss Green or Cream/Brown. It measures 305 x 227 x 126mm (WxHxD), weighs 3kg and is available to buy for £450.
