Hegel unveils H390 integrated amplifier
Set to replace the H360 integrated amplifier when it arrives in early autumn, the H390 is said to offer a power output rated at 2x 250W, include the same streaming platform found in the top-of-the-range H590 and will additionally offer AirPlay 2, Roon end-point compatibility and multi-room integration via Control4 SDDP.
MQA and DSD support (up to DSD256 over USB) are on board and although no specific details are given, the DAC is said to be a simplified version of the one found on the H590. External sources look to be well catered for with one BNC, one coaxial and three optical digital inputs along with balanced stereo via XLRs and two stereo RCA analogue inputs as well as Ethernet and USB-B ports. It comes finished in Hegel’s striking black casework and though not expected to be available until September, those requiring more information about the H390 are advised to keep a beady eye on Hegel's website.
