Kerr Acoustic launches K200 loudspeaker
UK company Kerr Acoustic has launched its new K200 three-way standmount loudspeaker. Built exclusively from 24mm Baltic birch plywood, it features the company’s unique transmission line loading and a combination of drivers including a brand new 254mm Radial bass driver from Dorset-based Volt, which is married with a 76mm, low-distortion domed fabric midrange driver and 60mm true ribbon tweeter.
Sensitivity is quoted as 91dB (8ohm) and a pair of 4mm copper five-way binding posts are located on the rear panel. The cabinets measure 310 x 755 x 460mm (WxHxD), weigh 43kg each and come in a range of real-wood veneer finishes, including Oak, Walnut and Rosenut, as well as either satin or high-gloss lacquer in any RAL colour, all with magnetic grilles. Custom stands are available separately at £2,000 per pair.
Pricing is as follows: Real-wood veneer £20,000, Satin lacquer £20,100, High gloss lacquer £21,500 and High gloss veneer £22,000.
