Cambridge Audio launches AXR100D
Cambridge Audio has unveiled details of the latest addition to its AX series of hi-fi separates. The AXR100D DAB+/FM stereo receiver, boasts a claimed power output of 100W (into 8ohm), the ability to drive two stereo speaker zones and a wide range of connectivity including three analogue RCA inputs, MM phono stage, 3.5mm auxiliary in and 6.35mm headphone out.
It also has three digital inputs in the shape of two optical and one coaxial, while the DAB+/FM tuner offers 40 presets for each. Bluetooth 5 is on board for wireless streaming from a smartphone, tablet or PC and it can be fine tuned thanks to bass and treble controls.
The AXR100D is the latest addition to Cambridge Audio’s affordable AX range which also comprises two CD players – the AXC35 at £300 and the AXC25, which is £70 cheaper at £230 – a couple of integrated amplifiers – the AXA25 (£230) and the step-up AXA35 (£300) – and a pair of FM/AM stereo receivers – the AXR85 FM/AM (£350) and AXR100 (£450).
