ELAC introduces Debut 2.0 loudspeaker collection
The Debut series from ELAC made waves on its original release when we reviewed its B6 standmount (HFC 407) and F5 floorstander (HFC 411) in the performance versus value-for-money stakes and the manufacturer has set its sights on doing it again with the Debut 2.0 collection. Less a reboot and more a complete redesign from the ground up, prices for the 11-strong Debut 2.0 series featuring MDF cabinets in black ash vinyl finishes range from £250 for a B5.2 standmount speaker to £799 for the F6.2 floorstanders The collection also includes centre, subwoofers and Dolby Atmos add-ons, should expanding to a multi-channel configuration appeal.
According to ELAC, its new silk-dome tweeter features a wide-roll surround, taking the high-frequency range up to 35kHz. Also, the revised aramid cone offers greater stiffness and facilitates a smoother, extended low-frequency response. The range is available to buy now and you can find out more by clicking here.
