Elipson unveils Chroma turntable series
The Chroma 200 is strictly analogue, the 200 RIAA incorporates a built-in preamp, while the 200 RIAA BT comes with preamp, USB output and aptX Bluetooth. The turntables all have a matte-black finish and are constructed using PVC for the chassis with an aluminium tonearm and pre-fitted Ortofon OM10 cartridge.
The 400 models include the Chroma 400, Chroma 400 RIAA and Chroma 400 RIAA BT, which features a stylish lacquered PMMA finish, carbon lift arm – which is higher quality than the 200’s aluminium one – and comes with a choice of glossy black, white or red plinth. These models also feature a pre-fitted Ortofon OM10 cartridge.
Top of the range, is the Chroma Carbon RIAA and the Chroma Carbon RIAA BT, constructed using high-quality PMMA and bundled with the Ortofon 2M Red cartridge. Elipson notes that – as the name would suggest – the Carbon turntables are finished with a carbon coating.
All of the turntables feature a manual lift on the tonearms that includes graduation on the counterweight and free mechanical scale for easier adjustment. A number of parts, including the digital motor toggle switch have additionally been re-styled, some with a selection of new and improved materials and finishes.
The Chroma series is available to buy now with prices ranging from £280-£700 and you can find out more about it here.
