Introducing Musical Fidelity's Nu-Vista 800.2 integrated amplifier
The British company goes on to explain that the new model comes in part because manufacture of the components of the 800 were discontinued. The upshot is that the 800.2 features a redesigned front panel with entirely new display, an updated rewound transformer intended to create less noise, revised power supply circuits and a new remote on/standby control. There are five inputs – balanced XLR, CD, tuner and two Auxiliary sockets – plus both fixed-line and variable pre outputs.
The front and side panels are milled from extruded aluminium, which the company claims makes the 800.2 immune against the effects of vibration and electromagnetism – the case acting as a Faraday cage to protect the internals against outer electromagnetic fields.
The Nu-Vista 800.2 quotes power output of 330W per channel into 8ohm and 500W into 4. It measures: 483 x 187 x 510mm (WxHxD) and weighs in at 41kg.
Available to buy now for £1,000, you can find out more about the Musical Fidelity Nu-Vista 800.2 here.
