Introducing Pro-Ject's T2 W wi-fi turntable
The T2 W has a CNC-machined plinth that has been expanded in size to enhance stability and is available in three finishes: Gloss Black, Satin White or Walnut. The core construction is free of plastic and has been manufactured to ensure there are no hollow spaces inside, avoiding unwanted vibrations.
Mounted inside the plinth is a belt-drive system featuring an electronically regulated, precision-speed AC motor, attached to Pro-Ject’s T-Line sub-platter, which is inserted into a stainless-steel axle/brass-bushing main bearing. The sub-platter drives the new heavy, zero-resonance glass platter with what the company claims is: “absolute stability, ensuring an ideal playback surface for vinyl records”.
The new 9in tonearm features a one-piece aluminium tube, improved low-friction gimble bearing assembly and spring-loaded anti-skate mechanism. Mounted with a Sumiko Rainier cartridge, it comes pre-set for downforce and anti-skate settings.
The T2 W comes with a removable dust cover, felt mat and Pro-Ject’s premium Connect it E Phono RCA cable. As well as wi-fi connectivity, it can also be hooked up to the network via its Ethernet input.
The T2 W measures 542 x 300 x 412mm (WxHxD) and weighs in at 5.5kg.
Available to buy now for £900 from Henley Audio, you can find out more about the Pro-Ject T2 W here.
