Roksan introduces Caspian Series 4G

Roksan has announced the launch of two new products in its Caspian Series 4G: the Caspian Streaming Amplifier and Caspian Integrated Amplifier.

The streaming amp works via the BluOS platform for hi-res multi-room use, the smart implementation of Euphoria, Caspian’s power amplification architecture, Rapture DAC technology and an advanced preamp and phono stage combining to deliver the sound.

The integrated amp uses the same Euphoria amplification architecture and advanced analogue connections, plus the Rapture DAC technology – for improved digital-to-analogue signal conversion.

The company explains:“Caspian Series 4G uses Roksan’s new authoritative and intelligent class AB amplifier architecture, Euphoria, which excels in power and finesse. Roksan has evolved the AB topology, with individual power supplies for the current and voltage amplifiers, this reduced interaction delivers purer, more detailed and cleaner sound.”

The Caspian Series features a new monochrome high-contrast OLED display, customisable input icons for easy source selection and a new progress indicator that displays features such as track length.

The Series also utilises a new analogue preamp section to ensure the signal is kept as clean as possible, while the phono stage facilitates accurate playback of vinyl. It features a dedicated input for MM carts and the RIAA filter and equalisation of each product is calibrated to a 0.5dB tolerance for the purest vinyl playback.

BluOS remains Roksan’s streaming partner of choice for the Caspian Streaming Amplifier, providing the ability to wirelessly stream to up to 64 zones at up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution.

The Series also makes use of Monitor Audio Group’s in-house designed MaestroUnite app, which provides set-up options as well as access to advanced features such as input configuration, headphone sensitivity, analogue input gain, balance, low power standby and the Roksan DSP Engine’s enhanced features for tailoring a system to a specific environment.

The Caspian Integrated Amplifier costs £3,000, the Streaming Amplifier £4,000 and a power amp is expected in 2025.
