Sonus faber launches Lumina range
Utilising Sonus faber’s DAD (Damped Apex Dome) tweeter, the same as in the Sonetto series, the two-way Lumina I features a Kurtmueller hand-coated soft-silk 29mm tweeter with a 120mm midrange driver. Crossover is at 2,000Hz and sensitivity is quoted at 84dB into 4ohm loads.
The compact and elegant Lumina III is a three-way floorstander that shares the same tweeter as its standmount sibling, paired with a 150mm midrange and two 150mm bass drivers made from Sonus faber’s natural fibre and paper blend. Crossover occurs at 350 and 3,500Hz and sensitivity is 89dB at 4ohm.
The reflex ports are on the front of the standmount and downward-firing on the base of the floorstander.
The range features multi-layer wood on the front baffle with a real-wood veneer and come in Walnut and Wengè (both in matte finish with maple inlays), with a third option of Piano Black. All the other cabinet surfaces are hand-covered in black leather and there are two pairs of nickel-plated terminals for bi-wiring.
