Sony unveils SRS-XB100 wireless speaker and LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo earbuds
The SRS-XB100 includes a passive radiator and claims to offer clear sound even at high volumes, thanks to its off-centre diaphragm. Boasting up to 16 hours of battery life, the speaker is waterproof and dustproof with an IP67 rating. It comes with a tough exterior and multi-way strap, and has a built-in microphone so users can enjoy hands-free calling straight through the speaker with Echo Cancelling, which allows two people to talk at the same time without cutting off one another. The SRS-XB100 is priced at £55.
The LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo are, as the name suggests, designed and tuned in collaboration with three-time Grammy-winning, multi-Platinum-selling, singer/songwriter Olivia Rodrigo. Based on Sony’s LinkBuds S noise cancelling true-wireless headphones, the new limited-edition LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo feature Custom EQs tuned by the singer and her producer Daniel Nigro for optimal listening of her albums Guts and Sour.
They come in a unique violet marble pattern styled by Olivia with the environment in mind using factory recovered plastic, reclaimed water bottles and recycled plastic materials from cars to create parts of the case and body. Sony claims that, because of the variation in material, no two pairs are the same.
Just like the LinkBuds S, the LinkBuds S x Olivia Rodrigo feature noise cancelling, while: “Smart features such as Adaptive Sound Control and Auto Play sense the user’s behaviour and automatically adjust sound settings to provide the right sound for the moment. The LinkBuds S combine innovative ambient sound that lets the listener interact with the world around them, with high-quality noise cancelling technology allowing them to focus on their favourite track from Olivia and nothing else.” The new buds will cost you £180.
