Yamaha launches new in-ear with aural care

Yamaha has unveiled its TW-E3B true wireless earphone featuring Listening Care, a technology that allows listeners to hear full-range sound – from high to low frequencies – even at low volume settings. The company claims: “this overcomes a challenge faced by typical earphones, where low volume listening leads to a pronounced reduction with certain frequency ranges, resulting in listeners increasing the volume to levels that may affect hearing.

“We’ve seen the World Health Organisation estimate that by 2050, nearly 2.5-billion people are projected to have some degree of hearing loss. In fact, the WHO estimates over one billion young adults are at risk of permanent, avoidable hearing loss due to unsafe listening practices. Listening Care solves this issue, allowing lower volume listening by intelligently adjusting sound frequencies in order to maintain the full-range sound.”

The TW-E3B’s compact housing can be inserted deep into the ear and sealed to prevent deterioration in quality due to leakage. It comes in six colours: two chic monotone and four smoky. In addition, the size of the earbud has been downsized compared with the previous iteration (25 percent reduction in volume), and the insert housing has been covered with a non-slip coating to ensure a secure fit.

The TW-E3B features aptX Bluetooth, a variety of controls (phone/voice assistants/music), up to 24-hours of wireless battery life, app control and comes with a USB-C charging cable, charging case and set of earpieces (XS/S/M/L).

Available to buy now for £120, you can find out more about the TW-E3B here.
